At modulyss, we offer four types of carpet tile backings, each with their own unique qualities and selling points: back2back, comfortBack, ecoBack and comfortBackeco. Our premium option, comfortBackeco, combines the shock-absorbing and noise reducing properties of comfortBack with the ecological and circular benefits of ecoBack, giving you the most comfortable, sustainable and healthy option for your space.
All about comfortBackeco
As the world begins to recover from the worst of the pandemic, we find ourselves seeking ways to protect our health, fine-tune our environments and put wellbeing at the forefront of everything we do. In the last few years, we have also seen, more than ever, the need to make choices that are intentionally sustainable and futureproof in their recyclability.
ComfortBackeco provides all of this and more.
ComfortBackeco is Cradle to Cradle Certified® Gold acoustic carpet tile backing, made of 62% recycled material and is 100% free of PVC and bitumen. It also weighs 27% less than comfortBack, reducing the amount of CO2 emissions, particulate matter emissions and fuel consumption caused by transport.
We designed it with the circular economy in mind. At the end of their long life, comfortBackeco carpet tiles can be disassembled and recycled into new backing. It can also be made entirely carbon neutral, using our modulyss CO2RE initiative.
That’s not all
ComfortBackeco was designed with wellbeing in mind. It has the perfect level of cushioning to give everyone optimum underfoot comfort and reduce muscle fatigue.
It’s also made with a dense felt layer that makes spaces up to 65% quieter, with an average improvement of 25% in absorbing noise from adjacent spaces. Ideal for creating a peaceful, calming environment.
